About the event
The Kuna people of Panama have been making Molas
for centuries; their simple techniques create amazing geometric or pictorial designs. We’ll layer several
fabrics together then cut away, and hand sew one
layer at a time, to reveal a multi-colored,
multi-layered design. Purchase of a class kit is required!
Materials from your own workroom: grey, red and black thread (for hand sewing), hand sewing needle, sewing machine threaded in white, iron & ironing board, small paper scissors, small fabric scissors, pins, dressmaker’s pencil, pen or chalk.
