National Sewing Month

We will do our annual Charity Sewing Event at Wendy's home in Rumson.  We will be making Adult Dignity Bibs to donate to a local Hospice organization.   The idea is to take a man's shirt or lady's blouse and cut it for easy attachment to look more like a garment than a bib.  Please start collecting gently used shirts from a loved one's closet or your local thrift store.  We will probably just get them cut out that day, to be finished at home (minimal sewing required).  Of course, we encourage you to make as many as you can at home and we will arrange to pick them up.  In addition, Wendy will present the program she recently did for the North Jersey ASG about various ways to use, adapt and reuse the same pattern.  The meeting will start at 1PM with a pot luck lunch and short business meeting.
